Where is The Studio Ingatestone located?
We are located just off of Ingatestone High Street, on the opposite side of the road to the Bell Mead car park. Walk underneath the red brick archway and we are the last unit on the left. There is ample free parking at the Bell Mead car park on the opposite side of the road or just behind the high street at Market Place and you can park directly outside the studio after 6 pm Monday to Friday and all day Saturday and Sunday.
Do you have a cancellation policy?
We fully understand that plans can change. If you need to cancel your class, please do so at least 12 hours in advance via the website or the Mindbody app to allow your space to be filled. Cancellations sent via email may not be processed in time resulting in a loss of the class pass. Late cancellations will be charged at full price.
What should I wear to my class?
Wear comfortable, exercise clothing that allows for a full range of movement. You may want to wear grip socks (not regular socks) to prevent slipping on the reformer machine but bare feet work just as well!
What class would be best if I am new to Reformer?
If you’re a complete newbie we would recommend attending our foundation class first. This class is perfect for anyone new, or those wanting to improve upon their technique. Our instructors will guide you through the reformer set up, focus on the fundamental principles of the Pilates method and modify exercises if required.
Do you offer more than Reformer classes?
Yes. We aren’t just a reformer studio, we offer so much more. The Studio Ingatestone delivers a comprehensive Pilates experience, including: A fully equipped studio with reformers, private, semi private and group classes across all three disciplines i.e. reformer, mat and barre and workshops and events that foster a deeper connection to your practice and the Pilates community.

Can I attend classes if I’m pregnant?
Absolutely! We offer prenatal classes specifically designed for expectant mothers. These classes focus on exercises that are safe and beneficial during pregnancy, helping you maintain strength and flexibility. Please consult your doctor before starting any new exercise regimen during pregnancy and inform your instructor so they can tailor the exercises to your needs.
Do you offer private reformer sessions?
Yes, we offer both private/semi-private sessions, either 1-2-1 or 2-2-1, perfect for those wanting to develop and deepen their pilates practice or for those who want to focus on their own particular needs and goals. Private sessions allow for a much more focused and personal experience compared to our group classes. Suitable for all levels, those rehabilitating injuries or those just looking for a more intimate tailored session where you are the only star of the show. They’re also a great starting point if it’s been a while since you were in a group workout environment and enable you to get comfortable with how the Reformer works before you join a group class and build up your confidence.
Are there any age restrictions for attending classes?
At The Studio Ingatestone, we believe in the inclusivity of fitness, thus welcoming individuals of all ages. However, for those under the age of 18, we require parental consent and recommend private sessions or specific classes suited to younger participants to ensure their safety and enjoyment.
